Hello everybody! First of all, thank you very much for visiting my website, and I hope that this instructional guide will give you the assistance necessary to get signed up for the WWE Network and begin watching without being tied to a cable or satellite provider!
This means you can watch ALL WWE Pay-Per-Views, with absolutely no need to have a cable or satellite subscription. This is a cord-cutter’s dream! This also gives you access to the FULL Video On Demand library on all connected devices, including critically acclaimed series’ such as Legends House, The Monday Night War, WrestleMania Rewind, Countdown, and many others, as well as access to the entire library of WWE, ECW, and WCW Pay Per Views, in their entirety!
Let me first get this part out of the way. THIS IS NOT FREE! I am not here to tell you how to steal the WWE Network. If that’s the type of guide you’re looking for, you’ve come to the wrong place. You’ll end up finding yourself in some pretty serious trouble, and the only Big Bubba you’ll see isn’t the one featured in the first main event of WCW Nitro. This guide will help you take advantage of the free month of WWE Network that WWE offers as an ongoing promotion, but to continue your subscription, you must pay the monthly fee of $9.99 USD.
Secondly, let me get this part out of the way. THIS! IS! NOT! FREE! …..to be clear.
Thirdly, lets pretend that you’ve found this tutorial helpful. I really wouldn’t be against a small PayPal donation saying “Hey, thanks. This was pretty swell guide”. Hey, we’ve all gotta feed our kids somehow, right?
Okay, I think I’ve got that part sorted out. Now, on with the details.
If at any time you need help with these instructions, I can be reached at email@example.com! I will try to get back to you ASAP!
(updated February 13, 2015) WWE has announced that effective in March 2015, the WWE Network will be available on most cable, satellite, and IPTV service providers as a premium channel in Canada. For $11.99 per month, you will have access to the live channel, which broadcasts like any other pay-TV channel you currently subscribe to. Some providers offer limited on-demand content on their website, as well.
However, if you are a “cord-cutter” or currently do not have cable, or satellite television at home, this guide is for you! By using this guide, you will be able to access the WWE Network in the exact same manner as those in the United States; via nearly any “connected device”, such as Playstation systems, X-Box One/360, Roku, Apple TV, iPhone/iPad, Smart TVs, and many others. This guide will “unblock” the entire US Version of the WWE Network, including the entire on-demand video library without the need for a cable TV or satellite TV subscription!!
(UPDATED AUGUST 2015): As an ongoing promotion, WWE is offering one FREE MONTH of WWE Network for new subscribers, and this method will allow you to take advantage of that!
The reason you can’t currently access the WWE Network in a manner similar to our friends that live in the other 170 countries that have access to the network is because the programming has been geo-blocked. This is often done by other companies (Hulu, or Netflix for instance) due to content licensing issues. In WWE’s case, WWE has opened up registrations to nearly every country, with a notable exception in Canada, having only made the content distribution rights available through Rogers Communications.
With that said, geo-blocking can be circumvented. We ask that you do your own research on the terms of service with your internet provider, as well as any criminal/civil/copyright laws in your country that this might be in violation of. There is a great article here that discusses the legality of circumventing geo-blocking, and how it works. However, you are still paying for the service, just like anybody else. Again, I am not here to tell you how to get the WWE Network for free. It is absolutely worth every single penny they charge for it (and, in my opinion, even more)! We cannot be held liable for any legal ramifications that may arise from the use of our instructions.
What we are going to do today is make it appear as though you’re accessing the WWE Network from the United States. The process is really quite simple, and shockingly not more well known. By doing this, you will be routing your internet traffic through a DNS location in the US, thereby appearing to actually be in United States yourself. Confused? Don’t worry, the technical details are taken care of by people much smarter than you or I (or you and I combined, for that matter).
So enough of my jibber jabber. On with the instructions. This shouldn’t take anything more than 10 to 15 minutes of your time, grand total.
STEP 1 – Create a ‘Fake’ US Address:
WAIT! I thought you said this was all legal? Don’t worry, we haven’t crossed the forbidden line (yet….and won’t!) What we need this for is a couple of different reasons. For the most part, it is to trick billing systems into believing you’re part of
the continental United States. Nothing will be mailed to you, and the address is really inconsequential. It doesn’t matter if you’re “from” New York, or New Mexico, this is all going to work out the same in the end.
If you need help generating an address, follow this link. Write the address down!We might need it more than once as this process goes on (depending what connected devices you want to use to watch the WWE Network).
STEP 2 – Disguise Your DNS Location:
Really, this is going to be the most difficult thing you have to do, and it’s really not that difficult at all. This is also where I remind you that this is not free. If you’re looking for free, they offer smiles on the menu at McDonalds.
Alright. Follow this link: https://www.unblock-us.com?offer_id=4&aff_id=1060. As a matter of disclaimer, I am an affiliate for Unblock-US. They’re a wonderful service that I cannot recommend highly enough, and you can learn more about them here. This entire guide is built around the use of their service. THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE IS NOT FREE.I’m beginning to feel like I’m repeating myself on that one. As of the writing of this guide (Jul 8, 2014), their service is $5 per month, with a FREE WEEK TRIAL! Ha! Bet you didn’t see the part where it was free for a week coming, did you? If you subscribe, and pay for the entire year in advance, they will give you TWO FREE MONTHS OF SERVICE. So, I guess there are things in life that are free. Annnnyways, I digress.
Head to Unblock-US, and sign up for their service. Once you have completed that, you’ll need to follow their guide to setting up their service on the connected devices you intend to use to watch the WWE Network. This is a very easy process on all devices, and the kind folks at Unblock-Us have provided us with a great tutorial to get you set up. It is important to note that if you don’t intend to use the WWE Network from your PC, laptop or Mac, you will still need to set up their service either on your computer, or on your router, in order to be able to access the “sign-up” page on WWENetwork.com. You can remove the DNS mask from your PC or router immediately following the completion of the WWE Network sign-up process, if you wish.

STEP 3 – Sign up for WWE Network:
Have that “fake” US address you generated earlier handy…
Follow the on screen instructions to sign up.
Continue by providing your real name, email address, fake US address.
Continue by reading and agreeing to the terms of service, and subscription requirements ($9.99 per month, with no renewal, automatic renewal, or billed in larger increments), and then clicking the large red CONTINUE button in the center of the page.
This will “un-gray” your payment options. Select PayPal, even if your intention is to pay via Credit Card. A Canadian PayPal account will work, as your address is masked by PayPal.
Canadian credit cards (unmasked by PayPal) will not work, as the billing address will not match. However, by adding your credit card to your PayPal account, that will work instead. PayPal payment options include your PayPal balance, major credit card, or direct withdrawal from your bank account (which is the option I have personally selected). Your subscription will automatically be withdrawn, monthly, on your renewal date, following your free month of service. Again, a Canadian PayPal account will work!
STEP 4 – WATCH (or, in some cases MORE WORK!)
Those of you who set up Unblock-US on your router or your computer, and you just want the ability to watch on your desktop computer, or laptop. You’re done. Enjoy the greatness that was Shockmaster’s debut, on demand. If you wanted to be able to watch it on PS3/XBox/Android devices/Apple/etc….well my friend….we’ve still got some work to do.
My connected device of choice is the PS3 (I own two). It has worked like a dream since the very first day.
But, how the hell did I get the app downloaded, you ask? Simple. Fake. US. Address.
What you need to do is create a “dummy” PSN profile, using that fake US address you generated earlier. Basic PSN accounts are free, so you won’t need to worry about being billed. You can create a new PSN profile here or you can just sign out of your existing account on your PS3, and create a new one by following the prompts on the screen.
Once an account with a US address has been created, you can go into the Sony Store, and download the free WWE app. Once it has completed, you can delete that fake PSN profile you’ve created. The WWE app will remain installed on your Playstation and all accounts associated with it, so the “dummy US” account is useless to you (or you can keep it….it’s useless, much like The Miz, and he’s relatively harmless).
After downloading the app (and deleting the dummy PSN profile if that’s what you’ve chosen to do), restart your Playstation. Login to your real PSN account, and start the WWE app from the Video section on your menu. After the app loads, enter your WWE Network login information. Congratulations! You’re now watching the Finger Point of Doom in high definition!
I’ve also been using the WWE Network on my XBox 360. I should note, I don’t own these systems to game on them. I actually needed my 9 year old to show me how to turn it on. Seriously. No, seriously seriously. He loves playing Minecraft. Because of that, I had to buy an XBox 360 and a Gold Membership to XBox Live. The kid is lucky I love him. However, because of that love, I have first hand experience setting up the WWE Network on the XBox as well.
In a similar process to the Playstation, you need to create a dummy XBox Live (Silver) account with a …..wait for it….. fake US address. Again, in a process very similar to the PS3, you can create that account by either going here or logging out of your existing account on your XBox and creating a new account by following the prompts on the screen.
Once that has been completed, you can download the app from the App Store (sometimes it shows up as a featured app….aww that’s cute). From there, once it’s downloaded, you can delete that XBox Live account from your system by following these instructions. Restart your Xbox, and start the WWE app from the Video section on your XBox menu. From there, enter in your WWE Network login information. Ta da! You’re now watching Harvey Wippleman vs. Howard Finkle in a tuxedo match in vivid colour!
The Apple Store is kind of funny. Sometimes it lets you see things that you’re not supposed to be able to see. So, first, open iTunes and search to see if the WWE Network App is available for you to download. If it isn’t, follow the same process as mentioned for the Playstation or XBox 360. Create dummy iTunes account with US address, download app. Open app, and enter WWE Network login information. Watch John Cena spraypaint Poopy on JBL’s limo. Unfortunately, I don’t have first hand experience with setting up an Apple product, but I’ve heard it’s the easiest of the bunch to do, not that any of the other methods have been that complicated!
You…..you are the bane of my existence. See, the android app also checks your GPS location, not just your DNS location. So then you get a fancy error message that looks like this:
Pain in the aaaaassssss. The good news is that someone smarter than me figured it out. So I’m going to link you to their guide here: http://thevpn.guru/wwe-network-on-android-gps-fix/ They mention PureVPN as their DNS provider of choice. They’re similar, so you can safely replace any mention of them with Unblock-US and the guide should follow exactly the same.
AND THAT’S IT! You should be up and running and enjoying Art Donovan’s King of the Ring commentary (see I knew there was something else I was forgetting)! Of course, much like anything technological, things can go a little hairy. So I encourage you to send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any difficulties with this guide!
HAPPY WATCHING, and thank you again for taking the time to use my guide. I love hearing your feedback, or questions, so please don’t hesitate to send me an email, or a gift, or some cold hard cash. I enjoy all of the above!
